The Henderson County Board of Public Education establishes policies for the operation of Henderson County Public Schools and oversees the implementation of these policies. It is a seven-member board that governs the Henderson County Public School System. The board conducts regular school meetings. Henderson County Public Schools serves students in kindergarten through grade 12 and administers elementary, middle and high schools. Its schools academic curricula include several subjects, such as art, language arts, foreign languages, math, science, social studies and physical education. In addition, the district offers gifted education, Title I and English as a Second Language programs. The Henderson County Board of Public Education is located in Hendersonville, N.C.
