The restaurant at Captain Whidbey is the hearth of the inn, designed to foster warmth and intimate, meaningful human connection. Our “living room style” design reflects our warm and casual approach to hospitality. We are friends treating friends here. As our central multi-use space, the custom and eclectic tables and banquettes are as suitable for an exquisite meal as they are for sketching, writing, kissing, water coloring or sparkling conversation. The restaurant is helmed by Sean Prater, whose menu veers towards the rustic, home-made and hearty, with inventive PNW staples. It’s where Scandinavian influence meets the DIY ethos of the back-to-the-land movement — the place where a good meal was a daily art form that changed as the seasons did. The restaurant & bar are open Thursday-Monday with a full dining menu. The restaurant is closed Tuesday & Wednesday but the CW bar is open with light bites.
