History
I have 22 years of experience with therapeutic bodywork, and 10 years as a life coach. My education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, with an emphasis on Exercise & Wellness, from the University of Texas in Austin; over 600 hours of massage therapy, including sports massage, deep tissue, and structural bodywork; 200 hours of yoga teacher training; and a certification in TACFIT (tactical fitness/ personal training). As a life coach I first completed a certification in Law of Attraction Life Coaching (lawofattractiontrainingcenter.com) and then pursued Tony Robbin's coaching program for Strategic Intervention Life Coaching (rmtcenter.com) Both massage and life coaching give me a great sense of purpose and fulfillment by helping others to lead happier, healthier lives.
Specialties
The work I do is a combination of relaxation, deep tissue, sports massage and trigger point work, always tailored to the specific needs of the individual client. I see a lot of clients who are training for marathons, triathlons, iron man, power lifting, track and field, as well as clients who sit in front of a computer screen all day. Areas of particular expertise include neck, shoulders, lower back, hips, hip flexors. I work slow, detailed and deep, allowing my clients to relax and unwind, while releasing tension and aiding in greater range of motion and workout recovery.
