History
We just opened in 2021 after 3 years of farm restoration. The farm land from 1928-1958 produced cotton off 7 acres of terraced land which was planted with white oaks and turned back to native forest. The terraces are still evident however it is mostly all forest now. The other 27 acres were mostly untouched and provides great mature old growth trees through out the property. The oral history of what the farm was like originally was passed down to us from our great neighbors. Things like the mule cart ramps, lunch rock, the sharecroppers house, terraces and the mule barn all have stories to tell. Plus we have on display receipts from the textile mills who processed the cotton dating back to 1940s.
