Great Valley Nature Center provides environmental education at its large, historic facilities. The center takes in injured birds of prey that can be sponsored by community members. GVNC features programs for elementary students and presents at community events.
The center also sponsors trips to regional parks and more, such as Hawk Mountain, Cape May and Chincoteague Island. GVNC hosts Girl Scout and Boy Scout overnights and badge programs. Two annual events, the Raptor Run in July and a golf tournament, help support the center. Membership to GVNC costs $40 to $500 depending on the level. All levels of membership receive free admission to more than 500 science museums and botanical gardens throughout the world.
