A & R Spada Farms was formed when two brothers combined their farming operations in Northeast Portland, Ore. In 1965, they began moving their operation to the fertile grounds of the Willamette Valley, near St. Paul, Ore. This was an area known the world over for its lush, rich soil. Potato crops were bountiful, and nursery stock proved to be in demand. In the 1970 s, A & R expanded its operations and it continues to flourish. Through the years, the brothers emphasized exceptional quality to ensure customer satisfaction with each shipment. This standard is maintained in each plant grown at A & R Spada Farms. Its country-grown quality is evident in the cornerstone of its operation the Emerald Green Arborvitae.
