Incorporated in 1980, the Community Violence Intervention Center, also known as CVIC, offers educational and long-term care services. The center provides advocacy, career counseling and intervention services. It also offers individual protection services related to rape and sexual abuse. The Community Violence Intervention Center provides crisis management and support services. In addition, the center administers the Domestic Violence Offender Treatment Program (DVOTP), which includes evaluation and treatment services. It offers financial, legal and employment assistance services. The Community Violence Intervention Center additionally provides housing assistance, volunteering and training-related services. The center offers supervised visitation, job search assistance and referral services.
