Hall's Pond Park is an eleven-acre park that includes a five and a half acre pond. Paved walkways, bridges and park benches surround the pond and an outdoor hockey rink is located nearby. The park, which is owned by Nassau County, was orginally designed for drainage purposes. In the summer of 2010, the County closed the park so it could give it a long-awaited makeover. When the rennovations are complete in 2011, the park will have a new gazebo and amphitheater, and improved fencing, lighting, trash cans, walkways and drinking foutains. The footbridge will have received a facelift and a new catch basin filtration system will help to keep the pond water clean and clear.
