Happy Harbor Childcare Center is a New York State licensed, not-for profit child-centered facility offering full-time, year round child care. Opened in 1988, it is located behind the Yonkers Community Church on Broadway. It follows the principles of best practice from the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the loving and attentive staff is trained in child development, CPR and First Aid. The classrooms are divided into four age groups, infants, toddlers and 3 - 4-year olds. 44 children are on site and the curriculum focuses on a balance between structured and unstructured periods of the day. Teaching focuses on addressing each child's developmental and individual needs.
