Located on Main Street in downtown Riverhead, the First Congregational Church of Riverhead is a certified town landmark, built in 1841. The congregation, led by Rev. Joan Finck, recently celebrated its 175th anniversary.
The church is a resource for the community, hosting a soup kitchen on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. Also, Alcoholics Anonymous meets here Tuesdays and Fridays at 7 P.M. and Saturdays at 8 A.M. AA meetings for those more comfortable speaking Spanish are available on Sundays at 7 P.M.
