The Child & Family Services Division, a part of the Department of Public Health and Human Services of the state of Montana, offers a range of medical, educational and social services to serve individuals and families. It works to protect at-risk, abused, neglected and abandoned children. The division conducts health care assessments and provides foster care and placement services. It offers state and federally mandated protective services, as well as works to prevent domestic violence. The Child & Family Services Division, also known as CFSD, organizes supervised visitations, parenting education classes, and training for the development of home management and modeling skills for parents. It additionally provides housing assistance, counseling, career guidance, educational, transportation and money management services.
