Mississippi Public Broadcasting Television provides more than 8,400 hours of educational, informative and entertaining programming, broadcasting 24 hours a day, Monday through Saturday and until midnight on Sunday. Its children's programs comprise more than 43 percent of total broadcast hours. It broadcasts national signature series, such as "Masterpiece Theatre," "Nova," "The Newshour with Jim Lehrer," "Nature," "Antiques Roadshow," and "American Experience." It also broadcasts locally produced special programs related to Mississippi interests, such as "Beyond Katrina," "Blues Diva's," "The Killen Trial," "The Governor's State Of the State Address," and "Cellular South Outstanding Players Awards." Its video production division offers audio, video and production design, videography and editing. Mississippi Public Broadcasting Television is located in Jackson, Miss.
