Minnetonka Public Works department is responsible for the repair and maintenance of streets, parks and natural resources. The department operates a division of natural resources that is responsible for reforestation and diseased tree removal. It maintains a work force of more than 80 full- and part-time employees. Minnetonka Public Works department also operates a streets division that maintains over 250 miles of local streets, traffic signals and road pavements, as well as provides trail construction and snow and ice control services. The department procures motorized fleet and support equipment such as pumps, compressors, generators and tools. It is governed by the City of Minnetonka in Minnesota.
