The Detroit Historical Museum, established in 1928, houses more than 600 historic artifacts. The museum manages a store that offers a variety of merchandise. It provides tickets for society programs and workshops. The museum hosts permanent and temporary exhibits, such as the Streets of Old Detroit and Frontiers to Factories. The Detroit Historical Museum also offers facilities for conferences, receptions, parties and meetings on a rental basis. The museum provides catering, entertainment and theme decoration solutions. In addition, it offers access to an authentic auto assembly line, The Motor City. The Detroit Historical Museum is managed by the Detroit Historical Society.
