Holy Cross is one of the oldest Catholic colleges in New England. Located in Worcester, Mass., the college enrolls more than 5,000 undergraduate students annually. It has been operational for more than 100 years. The college offers a wide variety of courses, such as engineering, academic internship programs, Africana studies, American sign language and deaf studies, biochemistry, biological psychology, foreign languages and literatures, classical studies, community-based learning, economics, accounting, English and creative writing, gerontology studies, and world history. Holy Cross also offers mathematics and computer science, medieval and renaissance studies, vocational and instrumental music, naval science, philosophy and religion, interdisciplinary and special studies, political science, and prelaw programs. Additionally, the college provides various intramural, varsity and club sports, and features state-of-the-art recreation and athletic facilities, including Fitton Football Stadium, Hart Recreation Center, indoor and outdoor Swimming Pools, ice rink, Smith Wellness Center, and Linda Johnson Smith Stadium.
