Salve Regina University, located in Newport, R.I., provides higher education to students in the Catholic tradition of education. The university offers undergraduate academic programs based on liberal arts, offering concentrations in arts and sciences, and in preprofessional and professional programs. It offers associate, baccalaureate and master s degrees, and certificate of advanced graduate study. It also offers a doctorate in philosophy in humanities. Salve Regina has an enrollment of more than 2,500 men and women from over 17 nations. The New England Association of Schools and Colleges through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education accredit Salve Regina University.
