History
Chef Brigtsen began his career with Chef Paul Prudhomme. He was the first night chef when Chef Paul and his wife Kay opened K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen and remained with them for seven years. In 1986 Frank and Marna opened Brigtsen's at 723 Dante and have remained there ever since. Chef Paul was instrumental in helping the Brigtsens get started with their own endeavour and has remained a guiding influence on them ever since.

We offer contemporary Louisiana cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal seafood. Chef Frank Brigtsen believes in keeping traditional Louisiana cuisine alive but also updated.
