The Street Maintenance Division is a part of Public Works, which is a department governed by the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City in Kansas. The division is responsible for maintaining transportation infrastructure that spans throughout the county and city. It repairs potholes, bridges and traffic signs. The Street Maintenance Division offers snow removal and pavement cleaning services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Public works is responsible for providing administration, planning and engineering solutions to maintain the city's infrastructure. The department designs and manages stormwater and sanitary sewers, as well as treats more than 10 billion gallons of wastewater annually.
