This is not a members-only shop, which is lucky for everyone, since the Des Plaines Valley Scout Shop offers a plethora of interesting items—from pocket knives to camping gear to scrapbooking accessories to colorful patches and shiny awards just waiting to be engraved. Though the shop is open to all, when purchasing a trophy, a document must be filled out to ensure the award is going to a legitimately deserving scout. The friendly staff can accomodate custom orders upon request, with a four- to six-week wait for processing.
