NAMI Cook County North Suburban (NAMI CCNS) is a grassroots organization and affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) that aims to improve the lives of individuals with serious mental illness and their loved ones through education, support, and advocacy. With a range of mental health programs, including classes, webinars, presentations, and trainings, NAMI CCNS serves over 17 communities in the Chicago North Shore area and suburbs.
Founded in the early 1990s by a group of family members facing the challenges of mental illness, NAMI CCNS offers vital resources such as support groups, grief and loss support, and recovery support groups. Committed to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, NAMI CCNS relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to continue making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
