NAMI Cook County North Suburban is a grassroots organization and affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) that aims to improve the lives of individuals with serious mental illness and their loved ones through education, support, and advocacy. They offer a range of mental health programs, including classes, webinars, presentations, and support groups, to serve the Chicago North Shore community and suburbs.
With a history dating back to the early 1990s, NAMI CCNS was founded by a group of family members who were personally experiencing the challenges of caring for loved ones with mental illness. Today, they serve over 17 communities in their catchment area, providing vital resources and support to those in need.
