When Da Poke Shack owner Albert was struggling to find steady employment after the birth of his daughter, he would fish and dive to supplement his income. He could be seen regularly on the side of the road; selling his fish and lobster from the previous day's catch. On the suggestion of a friend, Al was urged to open a small shop featuring any winnings from the water he could catch. Da Poke Shack has turned into a busy hub of fresh seafood dishes, with it's specialty being yellow fin tuna poke. All our tuna is fresh, never frozen, and caught locally by fisherman doing much the same as he did before opening Da Poke Shack. In 2014, Da Poke Shack was ranked #1 on Yelp of all restaurants in the United States. Albert is incredibly grateful for all of the awards and recognition, but he really only strives to do one thing: to provide the freshest poke made with Aloha! Mahalo for your continued support!
