Founded in 1950, the Glynn County Fire Department is governed by Glynn County in Georgia. It is a volunteer department that is responsible for the protection of lives and properties of more than 60,000 residents. The department provides a range of fire suppression and prevention and emergency medical services. It offers hazardous materials response, search and rescue, cause and origin investigation, and code review and enforcement services.
