Clayton Elementary School provides a variety of learning and extracurricular programs. The school offers educational programs to more than 400 students in kindergarten through the fourth grade. It organizes various programs that include fall and winter book fairs, scholarships, spring fairs, family fun nights, splash programs and award ceremonies. Its other programs include spelling bees, field lunches and trips for kindergarten students. The school also organizes special trips to historical museums, the zoo and Adventure Aquarium. It provides a curriculum in the core areas of mathematics, science, social studies and language arts. Its other programs include accelerated reading and special programs, such as Bank-it and Money Market, Traits of Writing and Breakthrough to Literacy. Additionally, it offers art, music and physical education programs as elective subjects. The school is located in Clayton, Del., and is a part of the Smyrna School District.
