Established in the 1950s, St. Barnabas Church became an independent parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut in 1967.
A service of the Holy Eucharist takes place Sundays at 8am. A second worship service with the church choir takes place at 10am, at which time children can attend church school (through grade 7) or nursery care.
Children in the third grade or older can participate in Youth Choir. Various other youth programs and ministries are offered to support young adults through Confirmation. Adults can partake in a number of spiritual-development and study groups. The church's Outreach Committee serves a number of projects both locally and abroad.
