The Shiloh Baptist Church has a rich history dating back to 1899 when former slaves Eliza and Richard Jones traveled by freight boat from North Carolina to New Rochelle after the Emancipation Proclamation and started the congregation. The church features several active choirs and musical groups, including a mass choir (the Voice of Shiloh), a men's choir, a children's choir (Angelic Voices), a choir for young adults (Sounds of Shiloh), The Shiloh Dance Ensemble (ladies only) and The Praise Dancers (girls, ages five to 17). Worship services are every Sunday at 10:30am with Sunday school at 8:30am. There is prayer service every Wednesday at noon and 7:30 pm. Baptisms are on the fourth Sunday of every month.
