Established in 2003, Vista Murrieta High School serves more than 3,500 students in grades 9 through grade 12. The high school is administered by the Murrieta Valley Unified School District. Vista Murrieta High School has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The high school s curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, history, economics, visual and performing arts, and physical, computer and health education. Its campus is spread over an area of more than 65 acres and includes classrooms, modern science facilities, and computer and technology labs. The high school also maintains classrooms for extracurricular activities, such as ceramics, art, photography, band, choir, drama, and fashion and design. Additionally, Vista Murrieta High School offers a variety of sports activities, including baseball, basketball, football, cheerleading, swimming, cross-country, and track and field.
