History
Village Arts was founded by Pamela Shafer Moser and her husband, John Moser. Ms. Shafer Moser has been creating children's performance programs for over 25 years in both New York and Los Angeles. She was asked to take over the after school theatre program at Colfax Charter Elementary School in 2013 which led to the founding of Village Arts in 2015. She and her husband share a passion of supporting community and feel it is necessary to provide a place where the arts offers a child a place to learn, to develop self-esteem through the the simple process of playing and creating. Mr. Moser brings over 30 years of working in film, tv and theatre. Village Arts continues to grow and in addition to creating after-school programs at Colfax Charter and its home space in Valley Village, it has started to create programs for other charter schools.
