Time seems to stand still at the Grand Barber Shop, which has the look and feel of an old-fashioned men's barber shop. It's a place where your grandfather or father went -- and still go. Co-owner Jerry Sandlin, 80, a proud Marine, has been a barber for 51 years -- 40 years in El Cerrito, just a few doors down from the El Cerrito theater. Inside, you'll find a comfortable sofa and chairs for waiting, model cars and even a barber pole. The shop offers a haircut for $15 (even flat tops), a beard trim for $8 and a shave for $12.
