Founded in 1910, The Alameda County Library provides a range of library services through more than ten branch libraries in California. It offers various community outreach programs that includes the Bookmobile, Booklegger and County Jails. The library is governed by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. It offers Write to Read, which is an adult literacy program. The library also organizes a variety of events that includes story reading sessions, art and craft classes, and puppet and music shows. Its disability services include easy access to its facilities, services and resources. Additionally, it operates several homework centers for elementary and middle school students. Alameda County Library is located in Fremont, Calif.
