History
Asian Access: Celebrating 50 Years of Ministry! I. Early Years of Asian Access [1967-1980] Language Institute For Evangelism (LIFE) focused primarily on evangelism, and the staff was made up most exclusively of short-term missionaries who were teaching English conversation. II. The Years of Expansion [1980-'95] A significant influx of career missionaries who had largely served originally on Asian Access' short-terms moved the mission into many new ministries beyond English teaching. III. A More Focused and Powerful Ministry [1995-2002] The mission began to focus in the primary areas of church multiplication and leader development. IV. Expanded Mission Leads to a New Name: Asian Access [2002-present] In 1996, work was expanded outside of Japan for the first time, as the first pastor training session was launched in Mongolia. Eleven other countries have now been added to the work since then, with a vision to be established in 20 countries as the Lord opens the doors.
