Lander Regional Hospital, opened in 1983, is a medical facility that maintains various specialized units, including a full-time Level II emergency room, Level II nursery and behavioral health program. It also maintains magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and stereotactic breast biopsy units. The hospital employs a work force of physician specialists that include neurologists, otorhinolarygologists and ophthalmologists. Lander Regional Hospital has more than 80 beds and is part of Life Point Hospitals, which is a nationwide provider of health care services. Located in Lander, Wyo., the hospital is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is licensed by the state of Wyoming, as well as is approved for the acceptance of Medicare patients.
