History
The original Young's Drug Store was open from 1933 to 1958 and owned by Ed Young the grandfather of our current owner. His store was located on First Ave. in Wausau. In 2002 Ed's grandson Forrest purchased Jackson Pharmacy from Jack Jackson and reopened as Young's Drug Store. This was a tribute to his grandfather who inspired him to be a pharmacist. We were originally located on N. 6th St. in Wausau. In 2008 we moved to our current location at 310 E. Bridge St. and in late 2009 and the beginning of 2010 we purchased 2 other retail pharmacies. Those stores are named Young's Drug Store on Grand Avenue (formerly Southside Pharmacy) located at 2106 Grand Ave in Wausau, and Young's Drug Store in Merrill (formerly Merrill Hometown Pharmacy) located at 301 E. Second St. in Merrill. We also own Young's Long Term Care Pharmacy that serves assisted living and skilled nursing residents throughout North Central WI.
