HistoryThe Boys & Girls Club of Langlade County (BGCLC) first opened its doors in December 2000. This year we will be celebrating our 15th year of serving the youth of Langlade County. The activities and programs offered share the common goal of advancing our mission of enabling all young people to achieve their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. This is achieved mainly through after-school and summer programs, which provide a safe, nurturing place for kids to come more than 180 days a year. In our first year of service we had only 109 registered members with an average daily attendance of 19 youth and served 76 youth through community outreach. We have continued to grow our membership and youth served each year. Today, more than 552 young people at risk and in need are taking advantage of the programs, activities and services provided by Boys & Girls Club of Langlade County.SpecialtiesThe Boys & Girls Club of Langlade County is part of a nationwide affiliation of local, autonomous organizations that work to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We are a community-based organization that employs ten paid professional staff members, supplemented by part-time volunteers.
