The Fire Department works for the protection of lives and properties from manmade and natural disasters. It is administered by the government of the Town of Weston in Maine. The department offers a range of fire prevention, education, emergency management and suppression services. The Fire Department also provides safety tips on family and inland hurricanes. It maintains a staff of more than 25 people, as well as responds to over 2,000 service calls annually. The department maintains emergency response vehicles and life support ambulances. In addition, the Fire Department conducts residential smoke detector inspections. It considers oil tank removal, propane storage and burning permit applications.
