Wisconsin Energy Corporation provides electric and natural gas service to customers throughout Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We Energies and Edison Sault Electric Company serve more than one million electric customers in Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula and one million natural gas customers in Wisconsin. We Energies is the trade name of Wisconsin Electric Power Company and Wisconsin Gas Company, the company's principal utility subsidiaries. The company's non-utility businesses include energy development, recycling and renewable energy and real estate development. Gale E. Klappa, president and chairman of the Board, has been the chief executive officer of Wisconsin Energy for more than two years. He has been with the utility company for over three years. Prior to joining the company in 2003, he served as executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Southern Company in Atlanta. Klappa earned a BA degree from the University of Wisonsin-Milwaukee. Wisconsin Energy Corporation has headquarters in Milwaukee and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol WEC.
