The van Steenderen Softball Complex in Whitewater, WI is a state-of-the-art facility that underwent extensive renovations in 2009, including the addition of a new playing surface, bullpens, dugouts, scoreboard, sound system, bleachers for 350 spectators, outfield irrigation system, backstop, outfield fencing, electrical work, and three batting cages. In 2010, a fountain in a pond outside the center field fence was completed, and in 2013, a misting watering system for the infield was added. The complex also features a service building with a press box, team locker room, coaches offices, showers, and storage space, which was completed in 2016. Named after Martha van Steenderen, a pioneer of women's intercollegiate athletics at UW-Whitewater, the facility offers an excellent playing surface and drainage system, making it ideal for softball games in the unpredictable spring weather of the upper Midwest.
