The department of Agricultural & Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin offers undergraduate and graduate programs in agricultural and natural resources law, economic problems of developing areas, senior capstone experience and introduction to agricultural and applied economics. The department also offers programs in world hunger and malnutrition, Latin American economic development, economic analysis of agricultural markets, applied econometric analysis, institutional economics, applied microeconomics, microeconomics of agricultural development and applied consumption analysis. The Taylor-Hibbard Club is a student organization for all graduate students in the department. The THC provides an immediate circle of friends and colleagues for incoming students. The club conducts an orientation session each fall for new students and sponsors various social and professional activities throughout the school year. The department conducts research on various topics, such as agricultural production and technical change, community economic development, and global markets and trade. It is located in Madison, Wis.
