History
Carol Debberman started making Sunshine Burgers in her farmhouse kitchen back in the 80's to feed her five kids. The burgers were so popular at home and among friends that Carol started selling them locally. Eventually she rented a bakery in the Catskills and sold her hand made veggie burgers to health food stores, co-ops and a few restaurants in New York state and the North East. In recent years we moved the business to Wisconsin and expanded distribution into foodservice and to retailers across the country (and even a little in Canada)! Now we are doing our best to make Sunshine Burgers available to schools, hospitals, caterers, and restaurants.
Specialties
Sunshine Burger makes veggie burgers which taste great! We use only verified Non GMO whole food ingredients. We start with raw sunflower kernels for hearty flavor and Lundberg Farms brown rice for body. Then we add a variety of whole food ingredients to make seven USDA certified organic flavors. Everything we make is gluten free, soy free and vegan. Sunshine Burgers are baked and browned then frozen; they can be reheated in minutes.
