Station Six is a fire station located on Madison's south side in Wisconsin. It is staffed with four firefighters and two firefighter paramedics who work 24-hour shifts. The station houses Ladder 6, a 2022 Pierce Enforcer 107-foot aerial ladder, and Medic 6, a 2022 Demers ambulance with a Ford E-450 chassis. Station Six also has a community room available for meetings.
Station Six was built in 1986 to replace the older firehouse located at Park Street and Fish Hatchery Road. The equipment at the station includes state-of-the-art firefighting tools and advanced life support medicine and equipment. In addition to serving the south side of Madison, Medic 6 may be called anywhere within or outside the city to assist with higher acuity incidents. Ladder 49, a 2009 Pierce Aerial, serves as a reserve ladder for the City.
