Burlington Fire Department
Established in 1974, the Burlington Fire Department provides a fire service program and inspects structures for fire code compliance. It also conducts public service information and fire prevention programs and provides a training program for firefighters. The department is responsible for the maintenance of firefighting equipment. The Burlington Fire Department maintains a staff of more than 50 volunteers and several career firefighters. It offers fire call response and nonemergency services for property thefts, vandalism and auto accidents. The department maintains a fleet of fire engines, trucks and quints. The Burlington Fire Department is a part of the City of Burlington, Wis., which operates public works, police and public health departments.
