Founded in 1848, St. Rose Youth & Family Center is an independent, nonsectarian, nonprofit organization. It offers advocacy services for children and young women. The organization provides residential care and therapeutic day education programs for girls between the ages of 12 and18. It specializes in helping girls with emotional and behavioral problems, such as running away, school failure, inappropriate sexual activity, depression, mental health and anger control. The organization administers Family Reunification and Short-Term Adolescent Girl Evaluation and Stabilization programs. It operates an outpatient clinic, as well as offers respite care program. In addition, St. Rose Youth & Family Center provides psychotherapy and social skills development solutions.
