History
Sloopy's Alma Mater started on Pearl Street in La Crosse by Rich Petry and Dave Berger. A few name changes occurred, but still the same premise of a kid from the wrong side of the tracks making it. The previous logo described a young person like that. The business moved to the Copeland address in the 1980s in the place of the old Midway bar. The bar took many changes inside expanding to add the Grenadier room for parties and remodels to accommodate customers. In 2009 Sloopys was sold to Tori and Adam Weissenberger. They added healthier options such as wraps and customized the burger experience, that Sloopys is famous for. A added outdoor seating area was built in 2010. The bar was updated in 2011 and 2012 to give it a fresher look and ultimately to accommodate a new logo and experience. Same great service is always there. Added was 24 beers on tap, with the cleanest lines in La Crosse. Where beer lines are required to be cleaned we expect it to service our customers the best way!
