History
Care Wisconsin was founded in 1976 as the Madison area's first adult day care center. At the time we were known as ElderCare and our mission was to provide a safe and fun place for aging individuals to spend their time. By the 1990s and 2000s, we offered new programs and grew our staff to respond to the increasing demand for long term care and support services for elders. In 2005, as Care Wisconsin Health Plan, Inc., we received our HMO license. Since then, we've continued to expand our programs, staff, and membership.
