Founded in 1978, Merrill Elementary School offers a range of educational options to more than 300 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It employs over 35 staff members, including a speech and language specialist. Its syllabus includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, language arts and music. The school also administers English as a Second Language and Title I programs. It maintains a library and media center that features a collection of books and reference and instructional materials. The school conducts a variety of activities that includes field trips. Located in Beloit, Wis., Merrill Elementary School organizes a range of athletic activities that includes football and soccer. It is a part of the School District of Beloit, which serves nearly 7,000 students.
