Mequon Nature Preserve is 510-acres of prairies, wetlands, and hardwood mesic forests. The area is currently in the process of converting the agricultural fields back into prairies, wetlands, and forests. Every year, thousands of native trees and shrubs are planted across the property, and thousands of children step off the bus for free nature-based field trips. There are over 6 miles of trails to explore. We are free, dog-friendly, and open 365 days a year from sunup to sundown!
