About Keiding, IncK eiding has a long and rich history of success serving a diverse group of industries and clients, providing a wide range of quality products. While expanded polystyrene, die-cut corrugated, honeycomb, foam-in-place and others have their place at the packaging table, Keiding continues to carve and achieve a unique niche for our customers: custom molded pulp protective and sustainable packaging.Andrew Keiding, a chemist by trade, began making paper mache flower pots in his kitchen in the 1920s. He sold these floral containers, made from old newspapers and wax, to local churches.Demand for the pots grew and in 1934, seeing an opportunity, Andrew Keiding filed a patent for Molded Paper Article and the Art of the Manufacture Thereof. By 1939 Andrew Keiding had founded Keiding Paper Products Company Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Custom machinery was built by local craftsmen and a series of patented tooling gave way to Keiding's distinguished line of floral containers. Many of the original designs continue to be manufactured today. In time Keiding out-grew the original plant. In 1955 we relocated to a more modern and spacious 60, 000 sq ft manufacturing and warehouse facility, the very same building we occupy today.
