Gundersen Lutheran Health Plan is a comprehensive health care network, which includes multi-specialty group medical practices, regional community clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, home care, behavioral health services, vision centers, pharmacies and air and ground ambulances. It is a physician-led, nonprofit health care system, which serves patients throughout western Wisconsin, northeastern Iowa and southeastern Minnesota. The Gundersen hospital is able to meet patients needs for primary and specialized care. It is comprised of more than 500 medical, dental and associate staff and is supported by a staff of more than 5,000. Gundersen Lutheran is a tertiary referral center and a teaching hospital with 325 beds and a Trauma and Emergency Center. It is the designated Western Clinical Campus for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical School and School of Nursing.
