Established in 1982, The Guest House of Milwaukee is the largest nonprofit and publicly-funded emergency shelter in Milwaukee. The center provides housing and educational services to homeless men. It provides shelter for up to 80 adult homeless men. The Guest House of Milwaukee offers emergency shelter, meals, hygiene supplies, and mail and message services. The center operates more than 140 units of scattered-site supportive permanent housing units for homeless people with disabilities. It provides transitional housing and substance abuse treatment programs. The Guest House of Milwaukee additionally offers behavioral health and psychiatric care services. The center is a member of the Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee.
