Eric Weinlander is a board-certified and fellowship-trained doctor of ophthalmology.He obtained his undergraduate degree from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan. Dr. Weinlander went on to complete his fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at John A. Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah.Dr. Weinlanders medical interests include cataract surgery and ophthalmic care with subspecialty focus in corneal and ocular surface disease, refractive surgery, and complex anterior segment pathology. Dr. Weinlander has special interest in corneal transplantation, anterior segment reconstruction, and the management of intraocular lens complications.Dr. Weinlander is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Cornea Society, and Patton Society. Dr. Weinlander is passionate about advancing surgical innovation and is actively engaged in research. He has acted as a sub-investigator in several clinical trials, given invited lectures, and published numerous research articles.He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.In his free time, Dr. Weinlander enjoys hiking, music, gardening, and spending time with his family.I take the time to partner with my patients and really understand their health and vision goals.
